The maker behind WoodCreative
Maroš Černický
Young student · woodcarver · from Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia
Maroš is a young student from Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia, who found love in woodwork. What started as curiosity about wood and chisels quickly grew into a real passion: turning raw timber into expressive animals, detailed statues and functional pieces that people can use every day.
He works mostly with hand tools, patience and a clear eye for character. Every owl, eagle, bear and bench carries something personal — a story told through grain, texture and form.
WoodCreative is his way of sharing that passion with the world. Whether it is a sculpture for a garden, a gift for someone special, or a custom piece of furniture, each creation is one of a kind and made with care.

How it started
From a first cut to a calling
Humble beginnings
Maroš began experimenting with wood in his free time, learning by hand and discovering the beauty hidden inside every log.
Driven by detail
Each piece is carved slowly, shaped carefully and finished with attention to the natural grain and personality of the wood.
Made to last
Whether decorative or functional, the goal is the same: create something timeless, durable and full of soul.

“Wood with a soul and a function.”
That is the idea behind every piece Maroš makes — objects that feel alive, yet serve a purpose in your home, garden or workshop.
